Our teams

Men's cricket

We have four men’s teams playing league cricket every Saturday throughout the summer. 2019 was an excellent season for the club which brought  promotions for both the 1st and 4th XIs.

In 2020 our 1st XI will play in the West of England Premier League (Bristol & North Somerset division) and the 2nd XI in Division 3 of the Bristol and District League.

The 3rd XI and 4th XI will be in B&D Divisions 10 and 13 respectively.

Our Sunday XI will also be making a welcome return in 2020 after a 2 year hiatus.

Ladies cricket

In 2020 OBWCC ladies will again play a mixture of 20 and 35 over matches in the Gloucestershire South League.

Youth cricket

The flow of promising young cricketers at OBWs continues, promising a bright future for many more seasons to come! Our youth setup includes All Stars Cricket (ages 5-8) , Dynamos Cricket (new for 2020) as well as all age groups up to U19 thanks to the support of our superb volunteer coaches and a number of parent helpers.

During May and June in particular, there are games on at Failand almost every evening, as we compete in league and cup competitions across each age group.

Nice to see @abevan87 this afternoon and have a socially distant outdoor net at @OBWCC. Shame we couldn’t go for a beer after, but those are the strange times in which we live!

Failand was looking resplendent in the sunshine. https://t.co/GtHWXBDmpn

@DanMcN @Beachy99 @Beachy1978 You’ve got the wrong man there Dan! Tom Beach ( @Beachy99) put these together...not Mark ( @Beachy1978)!

Unless you’re referring to Mark’s position in the batting rankings... 🤔

How about this for a #ThrowbackThursday? @Beachy99 has created some cool visualisations showing how our leading batters and bowlers have changed throughout our history! https://t.co/vviTAgngom
