GO TO NEWSOBWs is a warm, friendly and welcoming club open to all ages, abilities and disabilities. Based in leafy Failand, on the outskirts of Bristol, we’re just a cow-shot or two from the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We’re blessed with having one of the largest playing areas in the region, allowing us to host two league matches at home every Saturday. Practice facilities include a mobile grass wicket net, three fixed nets and a bowling machine for when our bowlers have had enough. We’ve got a great clubhouse too, with THE best teas around (just ask all our visiting sides!); wonderful facilities for both player and spectator alike.
In 2026 our Men's 1st XI will play in the West of England Premier League (WEPL) Division 2, for the second season in a row, having achieved two successive promotions in 2023 and 2024. Our 2nd XI play in Bristol & District (B&D) Division 3, while our 3rd XI play in B&D Division 8 West. For the first time this year our Ladies' section will put out two sides (with the 1st XI having won their league in 2025), while our youth section is one of the biggest and most successful in the region, winning three league titles and a cup competition in 2025.
We welcome players, coaches, volunteers and supporters of any age, gender, race and ability. We’re always on the look out for new cricketers! For non-cricketers too, we’re equally keen to hear from anyone who’d like to get involved in the club in some capacity or other. Scoring, umpiring, a bit of groundwork or some light administration – there’s lots of ways to help and be part of an amazing OBW family !
