Team News

This Saturday sees the return of competitive cricket for the 1st XI, with the WEPL Covid Group G kicking off with a home fixture against Twyford House. In the absence of regular skipper Stu Macarthur and his vice-captain Will Penny, the 1st XI will be led for the first time by youngster Finlay Yates.

The 2nd XI travel to Winterbourne, the 3rd XI go to Backwell Flax Bourton, whilst the 4th XI will host Abbots Leigh – all of which will be friendly fixtures ahead of the return of B&D competitive fixtures on the 1st August.

Our thanks go out to Backwell Flax Bourton and Abbots Leigh for allowing us to bring match day squads of 12 to enable us to get more people involved in games of cricket.

On Sunday, another youngster will lead his team for the first time, with Ben Harris’s youthful-looking Sunday XI heading to Keynsham.

Best of luck to everyone representing the club this weekend – and remember to keep applying all the relevant guidelines!

@ZoravarSingh18 Hell of a shift today from them. Fair play. They didn’t even need the street fighter that is Jadeja to help today. Brilliant.

Cheers to 2020 but you’re ‘OUT’ - a HUGE welcome to 2021 to our members, sponsors @ISWUK , local clubs and friends! Wishing you all a super 2021 - may you not take quite as many wickets, score quite as many runs or catch quite as many catches as us... #CheersAll #HappyNewYear OBWCC photo
