WHAT IS ALL STARS CRICKET?

All Stars Cricket is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children with a great first experience in cricket. The programme is delivered across England and Wales at over 1,500 fully accredited All Stars Cricket centres. It is a fun and active way to develop your child’s skills, and through our eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment.

All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home.

Cricket Force a roaring success!

Sunday 9th April saw OBW players and supporters turn out in…erm…force (Ed: we apologise for the bad punning) to help get Failand ready for the cricket season.

With a turnout of around 25 from across the whole spectrum of the club, including youth and parents, it was a case of many hands making light work as we rattled through the to-do list in under 2 hours.

The Committee would like to thank everyone who turned up and played their part – we really appreciate all of your help and support.

Particular thanks however go to Steve ‘Mad Dog’ Williams for once again coordinating the day as well as taking control of the weather and ensuring that the sun was shining!
