Men's Saturday Cricket

1st XI vs Hambrook 2009

1st XI vs Hambrook, 1st May 2009

We have four men's teams playing league cricket every Saturday throughout the summer.

The 1st and 2nd XIs play in the top league in the South West area: the West of England Premier Cricket League (WEPL) . In 2009 the 1st XI won the Bristol and North Somerset division (having only narrowly missed out in 2008) and have been promoted to the Bristol & Somerset division for the 2010 season. The 2nd XI were runners-up in their league, having won it for the 3 previous years. They get promoted along with the 1st XI and will play in the Bristol and Somerset division 2nd XI competition next season.

The 3rd XI struggled in Division 1 of the North Somerset Cricket League (NSCL) and will look forward to more success next season in Division 2. The 4th XI also had a tough campaign in North Somerset League Division 4 but managed to avoid relegation.

Sunday Cricket

As usual, the 1st XI will be entering the ECB National Club Championship and this year will also take part in a local 20-20 competition.

This year's 6-a-side tournament will take place on Sunday 18th August. Register your team soon to avoid disappointment.

2008 saw the welcome return of Sunday 2nd XI cricket after a break of several seasons, providing an opportunity for youngsters to get a taste of adult cricket. We play a league match every week in the North Somerset Sunday Conference. The newly formed team have won two consecutive promotions and will be playing in NSCL Division 2 in 2010.
