Team news - 22 August

This Saturday sees our 4 sides hoping to return to action following last weekend’s total washout.

Stu Mac’s 1st XI travel to Golden Hill to face the side they were promoted back into the WEPL pyramid with last season, whilst Dan Langan will lead a youthful-looking 2nd XI at home against Congresbury and will no doubt be keen to stay up at the top of Pod J after a couple of early victories in the competition.

The 3rd XI, under the leadership of Jon Sheeran, face Bishop Sutton in a game, also at Failand, that should see the victors move into at least 2nd place in Pod N, whilst the 4th XI led by Craig Strachan travel to Barrow Gurney also with one eye on moving into top 2 contention in Pod S.

The most notable selection for the 2nd team sees George Houlden making his debut, just days after picking up his GCSE results, whilst in the 3rd XI Toby Barlow steps up for the first time and will take the gloves as well as looking to shine with the bat.

The very best of luck to everyone representing the club this weekend!
