Womens XI vs Colwall 2011
This year we had the opportunity to play in two Gloucestershire County leagues a 20 over and a 35 over league, which we took to provide us with more cricket than in previous years. In 2011 the ladies team played a total of 11 games, a mixture of Gloucestershire league (20 over and 35over) and friendlies. This is an improvement on the number of games played in recent years but there were too many Sundays when we weren't playing cricket! We were unbeaten in our league games!
We fielded 23 different players throughout the season showing the depth in our squad, this number includes a few people who never played cricket before this year. I'm not going to list the notable individual performances of this season because so many people have contributed both to batting and bowling this season, with the middle order scoring runs under pressure to win on quite a few occasions. However I must mention Charly Stamper 112 no vs Colwall in our last match of the season. The winner of the both the Batting and Bowling cups is Charly Stamper.
The player voted player of the year by the squad is Becca Morrison. I'd like to thank Ross for looking after availability and Anne-Marie for coordinating teas. The team has been ably captained by Angela Watts for the past 3 seasons but she is now standing down from this role. We must thank her for all her efforts in coaching and captaining us.

New players (both beginners and experienced cricketers) would be very welcome to join us at winter nets on Sunday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00, from 15th January to 22nd April.
